He walked in the door…

There was a moment of terrible silence as he faced us defiantly.

Eyes locked into an interminable stare.

The world shrank so we were pushing against the sides as we grew into giants filled with dammed emotion.

Children faded into transparency.

Outside.

He did not say a word, he left like sunlight blazing pain into my retina.

My heart slammed shut.  My breath died, I was buried alive.

Resurrection came one teaspoon of dirt at a time.
