Two links which inspire me to adopt, very much so.

Although I am firing up on all cylinders to make an income, my heart is with children, and I don’t know how to correlate my heart with my situation.  I don’t think sole parenting is ideal… maybe i need to break down my ‘ideals’ and see what happens.

  1. I think if we feel this way, the best thing to do is to do something for children, or for orphans. Right now I am sure that I am not in the position to adopt, but I love orphans, and I love children. I’m finishing up a children’s book as we speak and it makes me feel like I’m doing something that matters.
Maybe you can do something dedicated to children, because that’s all that matters in the end: doing something for them, no matter how small. I hope this comforts you.

    • You are a comfort, Lila – I dropped by at your blog and your words there touched me too! The artwork I am doing on my colouring book ( is sort of turning to the direction of being for children… It started out as a healing journey for me, and giving back to others who have showed such great support within the WordPress community. I am noticing the joy I feel when I hear about children who are colouring or responding to my artwork. Hey – here’s a sneak preview: My ‘shop’ is not officially open yet, so shhhhhh….. Would you like to have a look at and let me know what you think?
Wishing you all the best with your children’s books!

      • Wow, this completely warms my heart.
Of course I’ll look at it! Right away.

What do you want me to give feedback on for you?Looking at it now. So far it looks clean, and I’d say why not put pictures of colored pieces on it? Add a splash of color on the website since it’s about coloring, maybe the cover of your books to be exact.

        I hope this helps!

I’m excited for you, I really love your idea. My older sister finds coloring therapeutic as well, just like you. She buys the Disney type books to color and she’s working with me on the children’s book too. So much in common!

      • Hey thanks for your feedback – that’s exactly the sort of thing I’m looking for. 🙂 I was wondering about colour pictures! That makes me happy, as I can treat the colouring in as part of my “work!!”

Lovely to hear about you and your sister – there’s nothing quite like creativity! Nice how it has brought you both together. Please let your sister know she is welcome to print and colour in pictures from my free colouring book at 🙂

        All the best!

      • Awesome, you’re so welcome. And my sister will be pleased to learn about your website, I’ll definitely let her know 😉
