Singing Lalala… Wildersoul bursts into song.

Trent Lewin is an amazing writer, and while browsing his blog I came across a little poem sitting in the corner, which sang to me. With permission, I attempted to add some musical notes to it, and this is the result. For the original words, copyright Trent Lewin, visit his blogpost I See You. He also has a post with a link to another lyrical poet which you might like to visit (That’s where I’m off to next.)

This first one is the serious version:

Next came a bit of letting the hair down…

This one pulled out all the stops.

My first attempt at creating my own tune, recording and publishing it.

If I am up to it, one day, I might attempt to add a musical instrument into the mix and see what happens. Or maybe someone else might like to!! For some reason I am sweating profusely, so I will give myself a bit of time to resolve whatever is going on with my bod first. I laughed at my diddly-doo-dahhhhs. And no, it is not my usual style of music. Although what my ‘usual’ style is, I really do not know!

Chalk Bombing

Well, I’ve been at it again. We zoomed down to the city at the end of the day and after a good bit of climbing and swinging on the new rope playground, I set to work with a bunch of coloured chalks. It was great to notice that I was not the only ‘grown-up’ getting up to monkey business in the park. The rope playground is very cool, and shaped like a ship, with rigging. Great place to bring grandparents to stretch their legs and have a good work-out.

There are a number of interesting spots that could be good for a Meetup outdoors, for chalk bombing, or colouring in, or even a musical get-together. Try and register your interest, if you are in the area. Or setup a group locally!

Beach art fascinates me, and I found some amazing stuff on Pinterest, so if you’d like to take a look, just scroll down a bit through the art I like, and you’ll find a couple of 3D Chalk Artists, and also a tonne of beach sculptures, sand art, etc.

(Just joined up with Pinterest today – it’s great!)

Show me your chalk bombing pics! Or perhaps, chalk bombing poems?

Best news about e-books!

I am stoked! This is what I learned today from the experts of Kindle…

“Although the Amazon Kindle does not have any printing functionality, a user can copy pages to “My Clippings”, copy them to their desktop computer by using the USB cable, and then print from there.”

This means that my colouring book artwork can be printed out from an e-book that I can sell on Amazon. Time to get busy!

Hmm. A double-check… does anyone have an Amazon Kindle that they can test this out on and tell us how well it works? It is apparently good for printing out a recipe to use in the kitchen, too.

Easy Listening Fast Colouring

Well, I colour in quick, and this is me going even quicker. Eight times quicker! Some easy listening music for a change, until it cuts off at the end. It’s page three of my paperback version of the Wildersoul Colouring Book. You could have a go too! Great fun.

What is condescension? The word came up today and has me wondering… how can it come across in a simple ‘okay?’

It is sticking in my mind because of something I said. Yes, all right, I said “Ok.”

When I didn’t know what else to say.

Could it be taken the wrong way?

Hard to say.

Impossible to tell, when conversation is taken away.

Hi, I like you, you like me, oops I like you more.

You don’t like that. You push me away.

I stay… at arm’s length.

Now and then I try again…

You have complete control. You allow me in… and push me away.

What else can I say? But Okay?

Your mind is made up, you tell me what for…

if I so much as step in the door…

We disagree and thunder rumbles

My heart straight down to my stomach tumbles

And I am in the cold outside, looking in

on you.

And really, it’s not okay.

It’s the only thing left for me to say.

How can that be condescending?

ok. {attached to an explanatory note, sigh of despondent despair caught up in stifled sob which is never expressed because it has no-one to hear it, there is no-one who cares.)

Let’s get creative!

In case you hadn’t heard a tweet, here are two colouring books I am very pleased with. They’re a bit different from your standard. And of course once you have bought and downloaded them, you can print them again and again.  I am focusing on moods or emotion now. Sadness, and Comfort.  Love it if you would visit the best shop I’ve come across yet for selling my own digital files. So easy! And let me know what you think.
